Research Accomplishments
- Received a four-year R01 grant from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIH) to study cervical ripening biomarkers by using ultrasonic, optical and biomechanical imaging.
- Received a three-year breakthrough award from the U.S. Department of Defense (Breast Cancer Research Program) to develop a novel combined ultrasound and photoacoustic tomography system.
- Received a technology commercialization grant through Michigan KickStart grant to develop a novel photoacoustic-guided laser ablation system for treatment of venous insufficiencies.
